And since it is, I guess I will share with the few of you who don't already know. I am pregnant. Again. No, it was not planned. It was not even expected. Let me start from the beginning...Last September when I had my major endometriosis surgery (the one I basically had a c-section but worse). The dr told me I was going to need to have another laporoscopy 3 months later to finish getting all of the adhesions out. Only problem, he told me as I was coming outta anesthesia! I barely remember now. Well, after all my check ups, nobody ever said anything. And I felt ok, so I didn't think about it.
Fast forward to March. I start having severe cramping and pelvic pain again. And when I get this it's like having a cycle ALL THE TIME! It's pretty bad!
The dr was upset I hadn't come back for my follow up surgery. He said now it was too late. That he was sure all the adhesions had grown back. Basically, I had that surgery for nothing! He said my choices were to get pregnant or have a hysterectomy! I wasn't even 30 yet! How am I supposed to make that kind of decision? Not to mention, I suck at being pregnant! And not that we can exactly afford another child. But, we do KNOW we have 1 more spirit waiting to come to our family. And I guess sooner is better than later. Or better than never!
So we started "trying". Nothing. So, I was told I needed to loose weight first. Maybe that would help. So I started working extra hard! I lost over 20 lbs from July to well, now. I found out my little sister was pregnant just before Labor day. I was so excited to be able to enjoy her pregnancy! Since we have been pregnant together EVERY TIME! And we know my pregnancies aren't exactly the smoothest. Which is another reason I wasn't thrilled about getting pregnant again!
I was a week late. However, my last cycle was only 24 hours long. If that! I happened to have an appt with my dr so I had them check a urine pregnancy test. Negative. I felt better. I didn't "feel" pregnant. I just hadn't started yet. But I also knew dieting can have an effect on that just as much as endometriosis.
But then it happened. That "twinge" that "pulling" in my belly. It happened a few times! Then one morning it was so bad when I stood up, it made me fall back down! So, I had a dollar store pregnancy test. Two really. I took one. It was INSTANTLY positive. This was at 6:00 in the morning. My dr didn't open till 8:30, so I took another one an hour later. Positive.
So I went and got blood work done. My levels were LOW! My HCG was at 400! Progesterone was at a 4! My cycle says I should be about 8 weeks. However, the blood work shows MAYBE 5 weeks. At best. So, I have no idea when I am due. If this pregnancy is even going to work out or what really to expect! I still don't "feel" pregnant like I usually do. My *soreness* just barely started. I haven't had any migraines or sickness yet. (not complaining just it's weird for me) But what I do have is MAJOR CRAMPING!! I don't know if it's the low progesterone, endometriosis, or both. But it's really bad.
So, there ya have it. I have to get my levels checked every Monday to make sure they are going up. I wasn't going to say anything yet because I don't know what's going to happen. Buuuut, all my closest friends and my immediate family know PLUS Tyla. She tells EVERYBODY!! :) She is excited! We are just hoping it's a sister this time around!! But if it's not, we'll know what to do :)
We'll keep you updated on what's going on!!

Wow, I'm way excited for you!! Congratulations! Wish I lived closer so I could help you out if things start to get tough... WooHoo for you! :)
If your pregnant the endometriosis doesn't hurt. That is why they tell you to get pregnant. Once you are pregnant it goes dorminant because the hormones used to feed it don't exist.
Good luck! : )
Thanks! Yes, Nance it doesn't grow while u r pregnant but what adhesion's are already there get pulled and stretched which hurts like u know what!
Holy crap! Congrats!
YEAH!! I know I already knew, but I just got excited for you again!! Well not to be preg, but the little thing that comes out!!
Wow! CONGRATS!!!
Congratulations. I hope it all goes well! :)
So here's where you "announced" it! :) Congrats! That is super exciting! I am in the same boat with the not sure about the due date. According to my Dr. (based off of the first ultra sound) I am due Dec. 6th, but according to my dates (I was throwing up at 4 weeks and 3 days), I am due Nov. 19th. I am leaning for the 19th! :)
Congrats again! :) Can't wait to hear more about it!
