We are still with out the Internet, so I have to wait until I can come over to my parents to do any updates. So here we go...
Jack has been approved for the early intervention program provided by the state. He was evaluated a couple weeks ago and he had what they considered a 50% or greater developmental delay. So he will have a speech therapist, occupational therapist and a developmental specialist come to our house once a week. I really look forward to these services so we can get him the help he needs ASAP!! He will be turning 2 next month.
Baby Joe is now 5 weeks old and getting so big! He weighs in at a whopping 7 lbs 8 oz as of last Friday. He is having some reflux issues so we did have to get an ultrasound last week, but all is well there. I just can't believe that my baby is already a month old and he is due on WEDNESDAY!!!! Crazy! We feel so blessed that he is perfectly healthy with no major health issues. We are just soooo grateful for everyone of our kids! They each bring so much to our family! We are so grateful we are an Eternal Family!
History behind the name "Baby Joe"
So many of you may wonder why we call him Baby Joe. It all started when we were trying to come up with a name for the baby. We asked Tyla to say Rustin, cause that was the name we were leaning towards. She tried but really couldn't say it. Matt's middle name is Joseph and he was named after his Grandpa Joe. For some reason, any name we were trying to decide on didn't really stick. I couldn't figure it out. One night I randomly asked Matt what he thought about Joseph Keith. (my dad and my grandpa blair's middle names keith) Well, then the next day my mom said the exact same thing with out us even discussing it. Then that night we asked Tyla if we should name the baby Joseph, and maybe call him Baby Joe. As soon as she said "baby Joe" I knew that was it! The way she says it is so stinkin cute, we just had to name him "baby Joe". So there you have it...the history of the name "Baby Joe"

So glad to hear that all is well in sunny AZ, and that your kiddos are great. Keep us posted on little Jack.
Matty! It's great to see you and your cute family and what you've been up too! We are all so in need of a hs group dinner again to show off our fam's! Glad you guys are doing well! Drop me a line one of these days. I have talked to Camie, Heidi, Ian and Rhett lately on Facebook. Aren't these modern communication conveniences so nice when you loose touch? I hope you guys have a great Christmas!
