Happy Birthday Jack

Jack had his birthday on January 11Th. My, oh, my I can't believe he's TWO!!! I swear it was the very next day the "terrible two's" kicked in to full gear! We have now started hitting when we are frustrated, throwing ourselves on the ground screaming, and purposely doing something naughty while looking at mommy to see if she is REALLY gonna get me! Man! It's a dang good thing this kid is so stinkin cute, cause I just might sell him anyone who wants him. LOL! I would NEVER! He is just having a rough time transitioning with the baby and not having mommy's full attention when ever he wants. I think he is also beginning to become frustrated about not being able to communicate his wants and needs to us.

However, on a more positive note, Jack has finally started his services from the state!! Yay!! He has a pediatric developmental specialist that comes every Tuesday morning. She goes over a little of everything. Mostly, she teaches him how to play properly and functionally. Jack loves her so much. Every time she leaves, he gets upset. The very first time she came he met her at the door with a book and made her read it to him, several times. Tyla also joined in on the bringing books to her to read. When she pulled out her appt book to schedule our next meeting, Jack took it off her lap, put it back in her bag and grabbed her hand. She is awesome, she also includes Tyla without shying away from Jack.

Then he has a speech therapist that comes every Wednesday. She just so happens to be Tyla's therapist too. She told me she just randomly picked both of their names off the list. Tyla has been receiving her services since just before Christmas. The therapist is the one who connected the two after she called me to set up Jack's first appointment right before Tyla's session. When I told her that his half sister was just diagnosed with autism, she kinda figured it out. Anyway, she is obviously really good at what she does. He also is starting occupational therapy starting Feb 5 and will have her come over every Thursday! So with all the therapies and Tyla's schedule with school and stuff, we are a bit busy. But I am so excited for Jack. He is already starting to try using some of the sign language he is being taught. I am so glad we are able to start so early with him.

Tyla is doing AWESOME!! She is using four and five word sentences. Even her teachers at school comment to me every time I pick her up that they are so impressed how well she is doing. My favorite is that she sings all the songs in the car and on all of her movies! Her favorite is Donald and Daisy Duck singing Bicycle built for two. Over and over and over and over and over again!!!! She has really started being such a big helper to me. She loves to help me with Baby Joe. She even likes to hold him for about 2.3 seconds. She is very concerned every time he cries. If I'm in the other room, she will run in and tell me "Baby Joe's sad!" She is just such a little sweet heart...most of the time.

Well, I can't leave out my little Baby Joe. He is getting so big, I can't believe it! He has just started smiling and laughing, and he has the cutest little dimples!!! His hair is still curly as heck and is starting to get more and more reddish! YIKES! One thing comes to mind...Carrot Top! Na, my baby is way too cute to be compared to that! He is such a good baby!! I think Heavenly Father knew that I needed an easy child!! Especially how he started his little life, probably the most heart wrenching experience I have ever had in my entire life!! Jack has been so clingy ever since, probably afraid I'll disappear for 3 weeks again. But seriously, this baby will just sit in his bouncer for hours at a time while I am fussing with his brother and sister and trying to run a house hold. Especially the way Jack has been lately. I am starting to enjoy the middle of the night feedings because it's the only time I have uninterrupted snuggle time. Oh ya! He snuggles too!!! Jack NEVER did. Still won't!! But I can't believe he is 12 weeks old today! Time seriously flies!

Wow. I think I have a severe case of carpal tunnel now. There was quite a bit to catch up on, and I'm pretty sure I left a lot out. Well, it is GREAT to back in the blogging world!
