Finally some pics from Baby Joes Birthday

***WARNING-SUPER LONG POST AHEAD***
It's so hard to remember that this is how his sweet little life started!
Only being able to hold him for 20 min at a time twice a day (if I was lucky) Having to were a mask cause I had massive cold sores all over my lips from all the stress to us getting to this point. After spending the week in the hospital on Magnesium and Terbutaline (YUCKY STUFF) and CONSTANT monitoring of the baby, they finally decided to do an amnio on Halloween morning. I was already dilated to a 4, so even before they did the amnio, they knew he was going to be born that day. They wanted to check his lungs to see if they were mature yet. We didn't even get the results back before I went into FULL blown labor!! It was almost immediately after the amnio. I kept buzzing my nurse telling her I was in labor and she would tell me "no, your not having any contractions." I was like, you're right, it just really bad gas!!! YA RIGHT!! A woman knows when she is in labor!!! Even if the machine isn't picking up the contractions!!!! I asked for something cause I was dying in pain, and her response was, "it's not time for more demerol, would you like some tylenol?" TYLENOL?!?!? Ya! Demoral isn't cuttin it why don't ya just give me some TYLENOL!!! Stupid! Anyway, a lot of commotion later, and me being frantic and scared, I was alone at the hospital, Matt was at work, my mom had Jack, Heather was at a halloween party with her kids, I thought I was having this baby alone! Not only scared about that, but scared HE IS NOT SUPPOSED TO BE HERE YET!!!! They sent the Neonatologist in to speak with me, and go over what will happen to him and what MIGHT/COULD happen to him. I totally lost it!! I think I called Matt like 15 times!! He just drove the UPS truck to the hospital and walked in RIGHT when they were getting ready to take me to the OR. It was a rough, crazy, amazing, life altering experience. I am just so grateful that my little baby Joe is as healthy as he is, and such a sweet, sweet baby!!

He loved his Nemo cake!!

This was his favorite present!! Pumpkin spice Kisses!!

Big Brother Jack!

This was Tyla's cake. I hate when she feels left out so I made her own little cup cake. She thought that was THE coolest thing!!!

Me and my buds!! (I am in my "costume")
