Jack is going into Phoenix Children's Hospital tomorrow morning. We have to be checked in at 7:30 in the morning!! Yikes, Bikes!! He is having an EEG done to test to see if he is having seizures or not. Not really sure at this point, most likely...he's not. But his neurologist says she wants to do this to "be safe".You see, when Jack got H1N1 last October, his fevers got up to 105! This scared me to death, obviously, but especially because of his autism. 86% of children with autism develop seizures at some point, usually due to an illness or febrile seizures. Well, very shortly after he recuperated, he started having "staring spells". Staring spells, that couldn't be broken with ANY effort on our part. They last about 30 sec, then he comes out of it just fine. The neurologist says that those "spells" could be silent seizures. So off to the EEG lab we go. We are planning on being there till Wed, maybe Thurs. Depends on what we find. I am PRAYING that we find NOTHING!! I am praying that it is all due to sensory overload.
Pray for us that we don't find anything because there isn't anything to find!! Pray for ME so my anxiety doesn't get the best of me!!! Thank goodness, Matt was able to get the days off to be there with me. Pretty sure I couldn't do it all by myself!!! We'll keep you posted!
