One Down....Two To Go!!!!

Yes!!! I'm done!!! With my first trimester, that is! This pregnancy has gone by so fast already. Probably in part because I was NOT on bed rest at all!!!! I was WAY glad about that! I was on bed rest for my first AND third trimester's with Jack. During the first trimester, I had a blood clot in the placenta and had placenta previa that put me down from about week 7 until week 12.

Then when I was 27 weeks, Jack decided he was ready to come out!! I have a hyper-dynamic cervix, which means that my cervix shortens way before it's supposed to. When your cervix gets less than 3 cm it can start dilating. Mine was at 2.7 at 27 weeks, by the time I was 32 or 33 weeks it got down to 1.8 cm. It was really scary. My Dr. thinks I might experience the same thing this time around, but lets pray that I won't!!

I will, however, HAVE to have another C-Section. You see, I did dilate completely with Jack, however, while I was pushing, he got literally seat belted in my tummy! The cord was wrapped around him like he was wearing a seat belt. From shoulder to hip! His heart rate dropped dramatically, and wouldn't go back up. So off they rushed me into the operating room. It all happened so fast. Poor Matt was just coming out of the bathroom, and they just chucked a pair of scrubs at him and told him to hurry and change and they wheeled me outta there! It was really scary!! Well, after all of that drama, everything turned out just great.

That is up until Jack was about 4 months old and I was getting some super bad cramping ALL the time. So Dr. Seal did an ultra sound, and what did he find?! STITCHES!!!! Yes, that's right, I still had my sutures inside me 4 months later. Yes they were the kind that are SUPPOSED to dissolve 6 weeks later!! Well, I had to have an ultra sound every 2-3 weeks after that to keep checking them. (thank goodness for UPS and their AWESOME insurance!!) They finally dissolved when Jack was about 10 months old!! The Dr started getting really nervous, he said that he had never seen this before and he would have to look up what to do in this case! Well after they dissolved, they left a lovely scar in its place! Dr Seal was nervous about me getting pregnant again because he said if the placenta attaches to the scar, it could potentially grow through it and I could lose my uterus all together! YIKES!!!

So, that is why he isn't even going to give me a choice of doing V-back. It's C-Sections for me!! Lets just hope this incision doesn't get infected like the last one. That's right. It got infected too!! Wow, after last time, no wonder this pregnancy is already so much better!!! So far, so good! This pregnancy has been way easier. I don't think it could be worse!!! But it was all worth it in the end!!! I mean look at this little angel!!!
(wow, they should make a movie outta my pregnancy!!)

You are still hilarious! You're a brave woman to do the pregnancy thing again. I didn't have nearly the drama you've had with my two, and I still hate it. The end result is amazing, though, isn't it?! Good luck with the rest of it, and thanks for the shout out. It's fun to remember the old days.
