Well, I gave in...

I ended up at the hospital today! I really tried to tough it out, but when I was taking a shower and I couldn't stand up anymore because the pain was so bad, I decided it was time to go. Well, sure enough, by the time I got there and got all hooked up, my contractions stopped enough to not show anything on the monitor!! It's so frustrating!

Anyway, I ended up getting a bunch of blood work done, a freakin catheter, and a lovely shot of turbutaline! Then I went in for an ultra sound to check my fluid and my cervix. Because I have been on ibuprofen, they were afraid my fluid might be too low. It was measured last Friday at 14 and today it was 29!! Anything above 25 is considered excess! Well, my friends, that means I have WAY too much fluid!! They checked the baby to make sure he was swallowing ok, and all other body parts were functioning properly and thank goodness, everything was fine. I have to go get some more blood tests tomorrow. He thinks it might be diabetes causing it. I asked Dr. Seal if this is why people are asking me if I'm having twins, and he said while laughing REALLY hard I might add, that yes, that I am bigger than I should be due to too much fluid!! My cervix, however, is perfectly normal!! Woo Hoo!! At least that is good news!

The best part of the day was during the ultra sound, when I got to see the baby...she did the 3-D ultra sound and the baby was totally just chillin there with his hands behind his head and his little legs crossed!!! It was so stinkin cute!! It sorta reminded me of someone else stinkin cute I know...... (see below)

Hey, I totally don't care that you pop in. I need to add you to my links. I am so sorry about your pre-term labor. That is scary! Also, the Reidheads are in my parents ward. I'm not sure how they are related to your cousin but it is such a sad story. I feel like I have seen so many children pass away this year. It makes me so sad.

Question- go to my blog and then to Melodey & Cole... is that your sister Miss Heather? It looked like her and I just thought, what a small world!

I'm sorry. I hope that everything stays good. We will keep you in our prayers. I also had a neighbor ask me if I was having twins when I was pregnant with Jace and I didn't think I was that big. People do not think before they talk!
