Baby Joe Graduated!
On Friday Joseph was moved to the Continuing Care Nursery section of the NICU. He no longer needs the intensive care part of it!! I was so excited when they told me he was moved and that he has been doing AWESOME with all of his feedings! Then yesterday the Dr came in and said he didn't think he needed the photo therapy lights anymore so they turned those off and now he is in an open crib!!! I used to could only hold him when he ate because he had to be on the lights. It was a half hour every 3 hours that he could be taken out of his little incubator. It was so hard. In 8 days, I've only been able to hold him 13 times! But now that he is in an open crib, I can hold him whenever I want! Also, the only thing left for him to do is finish learning how to eat, and then he can come home!!!! Keep him in your prayers so he can come home soon!!!

Wow-- you have really been through the ringer this last little while. I'm so glad your little guy is doing better and that you get to feed and hold him whenever you want. I'm thinking about you.
I am so glad that you are able to hold your little one whenever you want now. That is so wonderful. Do not feel guilty about not being there for everyone right now. This is a tough situation, take one day at a time. Jack will be okay when you are at the hospital. My sister went through the exact same feelings recently when she had to leave her baby in the hospital and she has a little girl at home who is about the same age as Jack. She said that she just had to take it one day at a time and keep looking at the bigger picture. This doesn't make the pain any easier for you now, but this too shall pass. You are a wonderful mother and are doing a great job. Keeping your little Joe in my prayers so that he come home soon.
Go JOE!!!!! That is so great!! BZ I just wish I could be there love ya!!
