I dare to dream this dream...

Today we took Jack to the allergist to get tested for all those fun allergies that are ever so common in children with autism. It was NOT fun. As you can imagine. He got over 20 different pokes in his back and when he wakes up from his nap we have to go get his blood work done. While we were gone my mom was watching Baby Joe and she saw this on the Today show. It is a little 7 year old girl with autism singing a song someone wrote for HER! She was a girl who didn't speak and when all her other therapies failed her, Music Therapy awakened her soul!!

This is very near and dear to my heart!!! I dream that one day, Tyla and Jack will be able to say these words! I dream that one day they will feel like they belong! I dream that one day, they will be able to understand how much they are loved! My biggest dream I dream, is to hear these words, "Mommy, I love you! Thank you for fighting for me when others wanted to give up on me!! Thank you for all your tears you cry every night when you go to sleep. Thank you for all the prayers you said all day long for me. Thank you for loving me!!!"

That is my dream!!

One day my precious babies, you WILL dare to dream this dream too!!

What a sweet and hopeful mommy you are! And so strong! Your kiddos are lucky to have a mom that cares so much and will do anything to try to help them escape the challenges they are being faced with. Don't be so hard on yourself, you are doing great! I can't imagine what kind of mom I'd be in your situation. I have such a short fuse, I'd be blowing my top all the time. I don't know how you do it! And even if they can't voice it...I'm sure your cuties know they are so loved by your patience and the tender way they are treated. Hang in there, there will be a cure soon with fighters out there like you!
