I just wanted to say a GREAT BIG THANK YOU to my Mom and my sister Sarah!! Sarah volunteered to babysit so my mom could take me out to lunch to Pei Wei (my fav!!) and then we did a little shopping! They thought I needed a break from life...they were RIGHT! Not that I don't love my life, cause I DO!! But, it's been a WHILE since I have been able to do anything for myself (well, besides a swig run or two) My mom bought me some Autism books, my favorite one was Jenny McCarthy's new book. It is a MUST read for EVERYONE!! It's called "Healing and PREVENTING Autism" (emphasis added) Even if you don't have a child with autism, chances are you PROBABLY know someone who does! This book is co-written by Dr. Jerry Kartzinel, M.D. He is her son's DAN! Dr. This is even a great book for ADHD or even if you have "typical" children. (in the autism world, we don't say "normal" children we say "typical") It is just a wonderful book...so far:)!! So check it out!!!
Also, T.A.C.A is having a cool fundraiser for Autism Awareness Month. They are selling some neat things. $1 of purchases will go to T.A.C.A to help them with all their financial aid they give to families. It's an amazing organization.
