HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO OUR SWEET, SWEET TYLA!!!

(plus lots of pics and out of order cause I am using wi-fi at music therapy...kinda sketchy service)

So today Tyla turns SIX!! I can't believe it!! She was only 13 months old when I met her. But oh my, how time flies!!! Tyla almost ALWAYS has a smile on her face!! This pic was when we went to the park with some cousins...can't you tell how happy she always is!!!

This was our sealing day! One of my MOST FAVORITE days ever!!!
One thing we love about Tyla is she has THE best smile in the world!!! It is so contagious!!!

this is an old, OLD pic I found. This was the Christmas BEFORE we got married. It was a sad Christmas too, cause poor Ty had rotovirus :( But it was our first family Christmas and it was so memorable!! She has always had the sweetest spirit about her!!!

This was our first Halloween together. PLUS it was the weekend I came down to FINALLY meet Matt in person for the first time!! So Halloween will always have several sentimental feelings to it!! (Baby Joe being born that day too:D) Which is probably a good thing since between Tyla and Jack, Trick or Treating is outta the question for us!! Seeing people in costumes is Tylas WORST nightmare!!!! Even her dad. She knows it's him, but she does NOT like it!!!

I was trying to get a pic with ALL the kids. I had to be REALLLLLY silly to get Joe to even look at me and she really liked it :) But the Book of Mormon she has in her hands, is also one of her very most PRIZED possessions! She has TWO!! One is a paperback, but the one she always has is one we got from our ward for Christmas one year. It has "Allen Family" engraved on it. She always wants to take her purse into church, I always tell her no, we don't take toys or anything that might make it hard to be reverent. So we compromise...she takes her Book of Mormon!!! One time she forgot it...NEVER again will that happen!! She looks through it all the time like she is reading it. I love it!

Tyla's 2nd birthday! Seems like just yesterday!!!!

Oh, I can't even begin to tell you that she is just as sweet as can be!! She is such a good big sister!! Seriously, she helps me SOOO much!! She loves to help her brothers (and Gigi), especially when they have gotten into something they shouldn't have. You can guarantee she WILL be on top of the situation!! And be in CONTROL of it! :)

This was when I caught her trying to teach Baby Joe the letters!!! It was so cute!!

Tyla and Chloee at Christmas!!! I LOVE that she is FINALLY liking "girlie" things! She is my only girl, and it's been killing me for her to not love those things. But she does now!!! I am sure it is because of her big sister Kenzi! And her Mom makes the cutest necklaces so she will wear them now.

Her and THAT purse!!! It goes EVERYWHERE!! And if you think I am exaggerating, Jack even knows it goes with us in the car. When I went to get her, he ran and grabbed her purse for her!!

Tyla has been such a blessing in our family. This last year she has GROWN UP so much!! Her and Jack do EVERYTHING together! She has become such a big girl, even potty trained...finally!!! It was hard work for her but SHE did it!!

Tyla is also a good listener...when she wants to be :) But most of all, she LOVES to be told she is being a good listener!! And every time I tell her she is, it is always followed up by her asking for a kiss! Can't complain!!

What I admire and love about her so much, is that her entire life has been come and go, and full of trials, and will continue to be FULL of challenges and trials...and she NEVER seems to let it bother her. She is such a sponge! She WANTS to learn! Asking questions is what she does best!! She is just trying to learn about her world, now that she can FINALLY get her words out!! She is also constantly trying to teach her brothers words to say. She will tell Joe, "say Ty-ya" (still working on the "L"s and the "F"s) But she helps out and does what she is told most of the time! :)


I really do think she is a blessing to so many people!!! She has such a love for the gospel! She LOVES going to church and family prayer is one of her favorite things to do!! I love to listen to her say it all by herself! Oh the stuff and the people that get blessed in her prayers. She always blesses Jack in music therapy. So cute. She really has been quite the example to her siblings, and most of all, to Matt and I! We want to live our lives so that one day we can live together forever with our PERFECT angels!!!

What a lucky girl to have 2 moms, 2 dads, 3 brothers and 1 sister, who ALL love her so much and will do ANYTHING for her!!!
