Here we go again!

Today I had my follow up appt with my OB to go over all the ultrasound results. I thought everything was totally fine. Come to find out, my cervical length is only 3.1 cm long. Once it gets into the 2.9 cm or less range it starts opening. Sooo, at 17 weeks pregnant, that is NOT good news!! When I was 20 weeks with Joe it was 4.6 cm and with Jack it was 4.0 cm. I went into labor with Jack at 27 weeks. At that point my cervix was at 3.1 cm. Where I am NOW!

I was supposed to start the progesterone shots at 16 weeks. Once a week until 36 weeks. My dr says if I even make it that far! Well, I won't even get the medicine until next Tues because of my insurance has been giving us the run around. So I will be 18 weeks on Tues!! My dr says if I deliver early he's going to sue my insurance! And if anyone knows Dr Seal, he's not kidding! He does NOT mess around. At. All.

So for now, I will be going in once a week for ultrasounds until I deliver. If it gets any shorter, then he is going to send me to a specialist to have a cerclage. That's where they sew your cervix shut! So frustrating that my body just can't have babies!!

So bed rest and pelvic rest for the rest the time as well. Not complete bed rest. But basically, I can't go to stores or do any walking or cleaning. If it gets worse, it'll be complete bed rest. Where I am only allowed to get up to shower or go to the bathroom. That's it. I pray it doesn't get worse! It's just not fair!

OH, and I am massively deficient in Vitamin D! And my liver functions are elevated. Just to keep things interesting!!
