Where we are now...

So I thought I would give a little report on how Jack is doing lately. We had his IEP (his yearly goal meeting to asses his progress and goals for the upcoming year) for school on Monday and his ISP (same kind of meeting but for the state) today. It is just so much fun to stop and reflect on ALL the progress he's made!

Lately he's been doing lots of imaginative play!! Which is HUGE!! We have been working on this for over a year! He says 3-4 word sentences. He asks for what he wants or needs. He plays (or attempts to) with other kids. More like he is interested in them and likes to bring things to their attention. Still working on playing "with" them, but this is still a vast improvement! He is trying some new foods in therapy. He will play with the foods, smell them and even kiss them! He is a little sponge of knowledge! Basically, he is like a Rainman with all the information he hears. What ever you do, don't tell a secret when he's around. He WILL repeat it!! :) Word for word!

These are just a few of the things we've seen in him lately. It's just crazy to remember that not that long ago we were going through THIS. Crazy how far he's come! He has worked SO hard! I am so proud of my little man!! I just know he is going to be so super successful in his life!
