Look who's a big boy now!

Here is one AMAZING little BIG boy!! We were going to start potty training a few times, but it seems like every time we tried I seemed to hit some sorta hiccup with my pregnancy. Well, this time was no different. BUT his HAB M hours (his behavior aide hours) are expiring at the end of April. Sooo, we had to jump on this time he had off from school. Whether we liked it or not!!

He has been sooo excited to be big like his sissy for quite some time! We planned on starting on the Monday of Spring break so Starlla, his behavior consultant, could come and help us. So Sunday night we had a "Potty Party". We read potty books. Watched Elmo goes Potty movie. Put ALL his clean undies in an undie bucket in the bathroom. Picked out books to put in the potty basket, and fun toys in the other potty basket. Put his M&M's in there as well. Woke him up early and took him right to the potty.

Day 1 he had a total of 4 accidents and 5 successes. One accident was a BM and we just dumped it into the potty and told him that's where his poo poo goes. Even woke up dry from his nap and went pee right after. He went happily each and every time. And he would go in the bathroom and "try" all by himself every time he had an accident.

Day 2 he had a total of 3 accidents with EIGHT successes!! 1 was even a BM!! And he went in all by himself before it was "time" to go and pooped!! His last accident was at 10:00 in the morning!! The rest of the day was a complete success! He woke up from a nap again totally dry and went pee right away. His last 3 successes were totally initiated by HIM!! Before the timer ever went off!!

Day 3 (today) he has had (so far) ZERO accidents and NINE successes!! No BM's yet, but almost every single time he has gone today has all been BEFORE the timer!! And one time he even was playing outside and ran in to go potty all on his own!! Woke up dry this morning and has had the same undies on ALL day!!

I am SO super proud!!! I wished I could say it's because of how awesome we are (wink wink) but it is ALL JACK!!! I knew he would catch on quick but this is AMAZING!!! Everything this kid does is SUPER EXCEPTIONAL!And I am not just saying that cause I am biased. EVERYONE thinks so!! The best part of all this is, his best reinforcement is being proud of himself!! He LOVES praise! To him, it's the best treat!! So he asks "mommy are you happy?" and when I tell him how HAPPY I am, he gets the cutest biggest grin on his cute little face!!

He is our super, special, incredible, smarty, amazing little BIG boy!!!
