Suffer the little children...

Today has been another one of "those" days. It seems I am having them a lot more closer together than I used to. It probably doesn't help that I am living on lack of sleep due to Baby Joe being sick...STILL! Yes, still. He is over the worst of it and recovering from a ruptured ear drum, but I am still very, very tired physically and emotionally.

Jack has been having more and more meltdowns. I haven't been able to figure out what the trigger has been with him, till now. We went to see his DAN! (Defeat Autism Now!) Dr this morning to go over some issues and we finally got his stool tests back. He is in the Pathogen Zone of having all the BAD yeast in his intestines. The worst you could get was a +5 and his was a +4! But the odd thing is, we give a really good probiotic daily, so all his good bacteria were still there too. The Doc said he hasn't really seen that before. They don't usually co-exist that well!! The bad ones usually take over everything!! And the funny thing is these tests were done before he was on TWO different rounds of antibiotics for sinus infections!! So I can only imagine what they look like now!!

So, course of action now is to get him on Diflucan for about 3 - 4 months! Then re-test. Yay for more poo play! I am really anxious to see what Tyla's results are, maybe we can find more answers for her too. We are taking her this weekend to get some other labs drawn too, then hopefully soon we'll meet and go over everything.

On a more positive note...TYLA IS POTTY TRAINED!!! Yup, you heard me!! After 5 1/2 years, she FINALLY goes on the potty!! She even went poop at the movie theater (well, before we were kicked out!) But she has been doing awesome!! And she has been playing super nice with her brothers and ESPECIALLY Baby Joe!! She even let him play in her room ALL night with them!! She was offered (or bribed...whatever) she could get a hula hoop this weekend. That's what she asked for when I asked her what kind of prize she would like. And she has been practicing how to hula hoop ever since she learned in P.E.

As hard and challenging as the days can be, I just have to remember to put things in perspective. This life is just a short time. The eternities are what matters. I can't wait to raise my perfect babies in the eternities!!
